William McCalpin, Senior Advisor
Mr. McCalpin works with Imprint to leverage the organization's existing relationships to develop strategic partnerships and innovative investment structural solutions for the impact investing marketplace.

Through a period of over 20 years, William F. McCalpin served in several different capacities in two private grantmaking foundations.  Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.  For much of the 1990s, he was a member of the investments staff of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and directed the Foundation's investments related to program initiative.  In the first part of his career, he was a program officer and treasurer of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. His experience in the foundation sector includes grantmaking, investment management, and program strategy and evaluation, as well as oversight of core organizational functions such as finance, accounting, information technology, communications, and human resource management. Currently, Mr. McCalpin is independent chairman of the board of trustees of the Janus funds, a family of more than 50 mutual funds, with collectively in excess of $100 billion in assets that are offered to retail and institutional investors in the U.S.  He is also independent chairman of the family of four mutual funds, with assets totaling $4 billion that are offered by The Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF) Investment Program.  Investors in the TIFF funds, which Mr. McCalpin helped to found in the early 1990s, are exclusively foundations and other nonprofit organizations. Mr. McCalpin is a director of the F. B. Heron Foundation.  He received a B.A. in economics from Williams College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
