Laura Spiekerman, Research Analyst Laura graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in Political Science and Human Rights, with a focus on the evolution of microfinance in international development. She then served as a paralegal at Clayman & Rosenberg, a white collar criminal defense firm, for two years in New York. There Laura worked on a variety of issues, from municipal bond guaranteed investment contracts and interest rate swaps to stock promotion and ATM fraud. After returning to California, Laura went to Nairobi, Kenya to work at Kopo Kopo, a tech startup related to the back-office integration of mobile payments for SMEs. Laura also serves on the board of the Barnard Club of Northern California. |
